Being born and bought up in Zimbabwe and having moved to South Africa in 1979, I moved to Botswana in 2000 as a founding member for a new Merchant Bank. Whilst I have spent most of my working life in the banking industry it gave me the opportunity to travel extensively throughout most of Africa, Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Israel, Canada, North and South America, South East Asia. By 2013, recently retired, I was back in the Cape to join my wife in her plant nursery business, specialising in the growing of fancy lettuces and herbs hydroponically, for the restaurant and hospitality industry. Still travel inspired, I have guided tours and also hiked the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal, the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, climbed Kilimanjaro and been to Antarctica on a Russian ice breaker.
Now I want to share with others the beauty of this country of mine.
